Basic
Chakra Weekend(15 hours)
This is an introduction to the Chakra System for those unfamiliar
with it. This course may be waived by those who have already taken
longer trainings, or who can prove competency. It is required
for those who wish to become a Chakra Instructor, as they may
find themselves teaching this course later on.
Psychology
of the Chakras or Chakra Intensive (45-50 hours)
This workshop combines yoga, bioenergetics, psychotherapy,
trancework, movement, ritual, partner dialogs, lecture, and other
chakra related experiences. It is in-depth and transformational.
This course may be offered in the form of a single week (7-9 days),
a 9-month experience, or three 3-day weekends.
From
Dream to Reality: Manifesting Through the Chakras
(35-40 hours)
The top-down manifesting current, though often ignored, balances
the bottom-up liberating current. Manifestation is the process
of bringing your dreams into reality. It is a practical step-by-step
procedure of moving down through the chakras from the realm of
thought into physical form. Eliminate negative beliefs, form your
vision, communicate it, bring it into relationship, empower it,
move it with passion, and bring it into completion. (Pre-requisite
-- learning the chakras from the ground up.)
Energy
Awareness (15-20 hours)
Designed to open awareness to the subtle energy body, of which
the chakras are an integral part, this workshop focuses on deepening
attunement through guided meditation and other techniques for
learning psychic self-protection. This workshop includes experiential
exercises for opening the heart center, developing boundaries
and sensing subtle energy as well as simple chakra scanning and
energy clearing, and opportunities to practice remaining centered
and psychically protected while working with others.
Independent
project
This is the creation of an original contribution to the body
of work pertaining to one's specializaiton. It could be
something the student can do with a group, a research project,
a tool, technique, art or music, that demonstrates proficiency
and original thinking with the chakra system.
ADDITIONAL
REQUIREMENTS
BASED ON SPECIALIZATIONS
These
workshops are open to all students but are required for the specializations
indicated.
Chakra
Instruction Specialization:
Advanced
Chakra Yoga (40 hours)
This course teaches you how to incorporate the seven chakras
into your yoga classes. We will investigate the theory, philosophy
and psychology of the chakras and explore the energy anatomy
and physiology of each chakra and how they relate to physical
imbalances and life patterns. We will practice a set of yoga
postures that opens and balances each chakra, as well as release
old tensions and limiting beliefs through holding postures.
We will do breathing, chanting, visualization, affirmation and
meditation. Finally students will design a chakra yoga class
and practice teaching with a small group. This program has an
intensive schedule and includes early morning, afternoon, and
evening sessions along with daily chakra assignments and reflections.
Guiding
the Journey (35 hours)
Movement and trance are powerful tools for awakening self-awareness
and opening ourselves and others to wider perspectives and profound
potential for change. Working within a ritual context, we will
create an intensive community within which we can enter a relational
field that encourages personal and professional growth. This
workshop provides a basic framework for creating sacred space
and guides participants in the use of trance, ritual, and movement
to work more deeply with students and clients in a contained
and safe way. A balance between inner work and interactive experience
will provide opportunities for participants to deepen their
own process while they practice using these tools for themselves
and their students and clients.
Chakra
Therapy Specialization:
Techniques
of Mind-Body Therapy (30 hours)
This course is required for Chakra Therapy certification
and strongly suggested for the Chakra Instruction track. It
covers the basic principles of mind-body therapy, such as character
structure, charging and discharging, working with trauma, tracking
subtle energy, and practical techniques to use in clinical settings.
In
The Realm of the Sacred (35 hours)
This workshop takes the spiral path from the outer chakras
into the heart. It is only for advanced students in chakra psychology
who want to practice the skills they have learned by working
on each other in a supervised setting. Deep sessions occur within
the group, supported by Anodea and other group members, as you
learn to use chakra and body-based skills in doing complete
therapy sessions. Feedback and support are given for your process
as both therapist and client, with an overarching ritual context
that brings it all into the realm of the sacred.
Clinical
Case Seminar (15 hours)
Clinical case seminar with other psychotherapists using
this material. Students bring in actual cases from their practice
for discussion. A write-up of three cases analyzed from a chakra
perspective is also required for completion.

Chakra
Bodywork Training (15 hours)
The focus of this workshop is chakra based bodywork. The
techniques include a combination of energy work, physical bodywork
techniques, yoga, breathwork, energetic body reading and a working
knowledge of the chakra system. Students will learn how to integrate
these techniques to balance, release and energize the chakras
within the scope of a bodywork practice. In addition, these
techniques will be applied to specific case studies within the
class. A strong knowledge of anatomy is essential, as well as
prior experience with energy work and other bodywork applications.
This workshop builds on one's previous bodywork training.
