Energy Awareness:

How to Perceive and Work with the Human Energy Body

This workshop teaches you a simple way to access the parts of your mind that sense subtle energies, both within yourself and in others. This original method, called Attention Dynamics®, gets you out of the part of your mind that holds your story, and into the part that creates transformation. With well-illustrated instructions and easy exercises, you will learn how to master your inner resources more easily and powerfully. Discover the anatomy of your mind, and how to gain direct access to your creativity, intuition, feelings and personal motivation.

You will learn how to:

• Gain access to direct, sensate awareness of your own embodied presence
• Shift your state of consciousness by learning to control your embodied presence, using specific body sensations as cues
• Become more aware of energy, boundaries, and dynamics within yourself and with others

This workshop fulfills the Energy Awareness course requirement for the Sacred Centers Certification Program. This class grounds the principle of Energy Healing and the chakras with potent and advanced techniques of clearing, opening, and balancing chakras, as well as energy hygiene for self-protection and more.

Glenn Hartelius, PhD. is a master healer and a scholar. As a pioneer in transformative psychology he brings a radically simple and practical understanding of how to create profound inner change, uncover your root issues, unlock your forgotten potential, and unleash the power to be fully present in your life. In over twenty years of experience he has seen more than ten thousand clients.

Glenn holds an M.A. in religion, and also a PhD in East-West Psychology, and has particular expertise in the anatomy and disorders of chakras. Glenn runs educational events for professional psychotherapists, publishes articles in professional psychology journals, serves as director of an accredited massage therapy program, and travels internationally to speak about his work.

Advanced Energy Awareness (Glenn Hartelius)

21 Class hours

Description: This workshop offers concepts, skills, and practices that support you in making energy awareness part of your everyday life. It includes a comprehensive presentation of basic energy anatomy, practice deepening into mindfulness, and the skills needed to teach the basic Attention Dynamics embodiment exercise. Together, these practices show you how to work with energy at three different levels of the human system.

In addition to the seven chakras of the body, you’ll explore six more chakras that sit in the energy field, discover that the “aura” is one of two different types of energy fields that surround you, learn how to do energy work with this simpler auric field, and how to perceive and cultivate healing in the deeper, layered structure of the soul’s body. More importantly, you will learn to distinguish between these two very different levels of energy structure and energy work.

The workshop will show you how to read attention in someone else’s body as a way of sharpening your awareness of how attention sits in your own body and explain the energy and verbal dynamics of cultivating strong rapport with healthy boundaries.

Courses for Immersion

Sacred Centers Immersion weeks are annual retreats for diving deeper into the advanced curriculum. Designed primarily for students working towards Certification as teachers, healers and coaches, these retreats offer several specialized courses in one week, in which students can deepen their learning on a more personal level. Throughout the week students come together each morning for yoga taught by students in the teacher track, and in the evenings for community events, entertainment, and special presentations, as well as sharing each meal. Some classes happen simultaneously, as students enter smaller workshops designed for their special track. What is most special is that the Sacred Centers community of co-hearts flourishes throughout the week, for a memorable experience of love, light, and transformation.

8-9 am – Yoga

Food & Lodging

Pricing includes 3 gourmet vegetarian meals:

• Double Occupancy (Large room with private bath): $95 per day
• Single Occupancy: $155 per day
• Commute fee plus meals: $45 per day

We will calculate your costs according to the workshop(s) chosen and the number of nights lodging at your preference level. After you fill out the application form, we will send you a notice of acceptance and a rendering of your total cost. However you can estimate your costs based on the lodging prices below and the workshop fees listed next to each workshop. Meals are based on arrival and departure time at Elkins Estate.

Cancellation Policy

We schedule classes, purchase plane tickets, and reserve classroom space based on numbers of registered participants. Cancellations can be problematic, so please keep your commitment if at all possible and read our cancellation policy carefully. Thank you for understanding.

• Cancellation before August 10: full refund minus a $75 administration fee.
• Cancellation before September 10: 50% refund of total program cost.
• Cancellation after September 10: NO refund.
